0.005 mmol (1.1 mg) of transition metal catalyst was accurately weighed and placed in a 10 mL Young reaction tube equipped with a magnetic stirrer. Under oxygen atmosphere, 0.04 mmol of co-catalyst I, 0.08 mmol of co-catalyst II, 0.2 mmol of ethyl 4-aminobenzoate, and 1 mL of water were sequentially added to the reaction tube via syringe. The Young reaction tube was fixed on a magnetic stirrer and the reaction was stirred at 150°C for 36 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction solution was adjusted to neutral pH and purified by post-processing to afford the target product ethyl 2-methylquinoline-6-carboxylate in 65% yield. | [References]
