EXAMPLE 29 A mixture of 50 g. (0.14 mole) of 4,5-dibromopyrrol-2-yl trichloromethyl ketone (described above in Example 1) and 10 g. (0.30 mole) of 95% hydrazine hydrate in 25 ml. of dimethylformamide was stirred at room temperature for about 30 minutes, diluted with 200 ml. of water, and the solid which separated was collected and washed with water to give 34 g. of 4,5-dibromopyrrole-2-carboxylic acid hydrazide, m.p. 213°-214°C.
