The solution of dodecyl diacid (1 mmol) and 1 mmol of isobutylene in isopropyl ether was dissolved in dichloromethane, and 5 mg of product A was added under ice salt bath. After stirring for 4 hours, the product A was recovered by magnetic separation. The reaction solution was concentrated to obtain mono-tert-butyl dodecyl dicarboxylate (273 mg, yield: 95.3%, purity: 90.5%).
