To a solution of tert-butyl 3-oxotetrahydro-1H-oxazolo [3, 4-a] pyrazine-7 (3H) -carboxylate (100 mg, 0.41 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added a HCl in EtOAc solution (4 M, 2 mL) . The mixture was stirred at rt for 50 min and concentrated to give the title compound as a thick solid (68 mg, 93) .1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) : δ ppm 4.53-4.58 (m, 1H) , 4.20-4.28 (m, 1H) , 4.13-4.16 (m, 1H) , 3.97-4.02 (m, 1H) , 3.53-3.57 (m, 1H) , 3.37-3.45 (m, 2H) , 3.08-3.14 (m, 2H) and MS-ESI: m/z 143.20 [M+H-HCl] +.
